Got a question.
Anyone notice or make any connection between flaxseed oil and
hemorrhoids?
I correspond with a lot of people. Recently I told a friend of many
years about eating flaxseed oil combined with cottage cheese in the
morning for breakfast. I didn't go into the why. She had just written
to ask what sort of diet I eat and I answered. My friend wrote back and
said that she used to eat her morning yogurt with flaxseed oil, but that
it gave her painful hemorrhoids. She didn't say that she was following
the Budwig protocol and she never mentioned anything to do with cancer.
I wrote back and asked for more information because I wanted to know why
she said that eating yogurt and flax oil gave her hemorrhoids. She said
that she had never suffered from hemorrhoids before she started eating
this mix in the morning; but that a couple months after she started that
she got a very painful yet small hemorrhoid which caused her to lose
sleep at night and bothered her throughout the day as well. She said
that nothing seemed to help it. She said that with her sleep disrupted
so much she stopped having breakfast and that a few days later the pain
got better. Then she said that she resumed the flax seed oil and yogurt
and the pain came back. She said she did this back and forth thing for
quite a while until she was convinced. She said she didn't know why,
but that in her case this happened.
Normally I would have thought of her as having drawn a premature
conclusion. However, I must say that I have suffered from painful,
achingly painful hemorroids for over a year off and on. More off than
on, but when the pain has come, it has been quite intense. I've
suffered from occasional hemorroid pain and itching for years. But, it
was always something that cleared up quickly and the pain was never
anything intense or extreme as it has been occasionally this last year
(sometimes lasting up to two weeks at a time). I have almost never
suffered from constipation. The problem was nearly always in the other
direction, which is what I assume caused the problem in the first
place. It never occured to me that this problem of the intensified pain
to the point of interfering with sleep on occasion might be associated
with flax seed oil in any way. I tend to doubt this connection. I tend
to think the problem has been caused by some other factors which I've
yet to determine. But, after reading what my friend wrote, I thought it
would not hurt to ask others on this site if they have noticed anything
of this sort AFTER starting on flax oil.
Maybe after halloween the Snoop Spooks will be put to bed and things will return
to normal. I am still getting replies to emails at odd times so there is
definitely something amiss......all over the world it seems. Happy
Halloween....Bev.

There are some really wierd things going on with mine and several other peoples
e-mails from a few groups. I think(know) that several of us are being monitored
continuously and posts are being held up to individual. Then we se a response
from someone else to a post that was send to us, and after that the post arrives
on our computers. Screwy. I blame it on the SNOOP SPOOKS.
Cheers, Doug

A local friend whose parents came from Germany claims the salt
is for taste, although I think it's wife who actually makes it. I will
be making some for the first time this weekend with a friend and
will try using very little salt, and that will be sea salt.
I contacted Nancy's regarding the high salt content of
commerccial CC and they say it is not necessary for the process
and is only present to satisfy public taste for salt.
My concern is high blood pressure that seems to elevate with
salt. (and committee meetings).
best regards to all,

On Dr. Mercola's site, I ran across this:
"...even superior to olive oil, which contains trans-fat..."
